Hello everyone, my name is Erin Shelton, I live in Pocatello, and I'm currently working on an Imperial Bridge Crew costume.

    Hi Erin! *waves*

Glad you signed up. Everyone here will be super helpful when getting your bridge crew build going so don’t be shy to post links and stuff.

Some of you met Erin at the snake river con last year. :)

Thanks for the warm welcome :) These were the boots I was thinking of for an Imperial Bridge Officer: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077F2GK6H/_e ... I1QB&psc=1

I would be cutting off the lower buckle (it's only attached on one side of the boot), but I'm worried about the zipper. Would these be approvable (with the modification), or should I keep looking?

If you have not already done so, go to the 501st CRL page and scroll to the right costume. The boots should be specified there. I am not sure of the bridge command detachment, but they should be able to help you too.

You'll need to keep looking. Preferably boots would not have zipper, but if they do the zipper need to be on the inside of the calf and hidden as much as possibly. Also, crew boots are not knee high but mid-calf.

    Hi Erin,
Here's the link to the CRL for Bridge Crew. Everything listed in black is required for 501st approval. Everything beyond that is extra for those that want to be "super-accurate".

    http://databank.501st.com/databank/Cost ... ridge_crew

As ondiv pointed out, the boots you have in mind won't meet the requirement with the zipper in the back, you were on the right track to be concerned about that. Ahhh footwear, the toughest part of almost any Star Wars costume!

Let us know how we can help!

    -Doug
