    Hello -

My name is Matt - Malaki on the forums - and I'm new here at the 501st. A friend convinced me to join up (though truth be told, not a lot of convincing had to be done) and so here I am! I hail from Nampa, ID, have always wanted to join an outfit like this, and I'm looking to get started and make my way through the ranks however I can. Anyway, enough about me. I'm anxious to learn more and get started. Hope to see you guys out there in the galaxy.

Welcome Matt. Glad you could join in.

Do you have a specific costume in mind, or just excited at the idea of the group generally?

    Thanks for the welcome!

I have currently 3 different ideas for my first costume. The first is Revan, who I found out the other day I absolutely love. I don't think it would be too complicated, though the sabers would be super expensive (for what I would want them to be able to do.) The second is a Temple Guard. I think they look super cool and again wouldn't be too hard. The third is probably not going to happen due to my inability to make the kind of mask needed, but I learned what Bothans were not too long ago, and I kind of dig them. I thought a Bothan Sith or Jedi would be super cool, but I've looked a bit on the forums here and Rebel Legion, however Bothans don't seem to have ever been approved officially, unless I've missed something.

Very good. We have a couple Revan's in the Garrison, they could speak to how hard or not it is.

The temple guard is a beautiful costume, and is deceptively detailed. As you note that would be in the Rebel Legion (RL).

Bothans are a lot of fun (if they can stay alive).

Several have been approved in the RL. If that is of interest I could put you in contact with those who make them, just let me know.

Oh sweet! If you wouldn't mind putting me in contact with some Bothan makers, that would be awesome, if only to learn more about them. You said they have been approved in Rebel Legion, though I didn't see any on their CRL. Maybe I missed it!
