It seems to have slipped by mostly unnoticed on Facebook, but the new animated series preview was debuted on Friday. Although I missed seeing any three legged Astromechs (R2 style), the drawing style was really enticing and I'm looking forward to seeing more. There was a brief glimpse of Phasma, so it'd be nice to flesh out her story on screen a bit more, plus I'm hoping that Snoke's rise will also be given some details.
Did anyone else here catch the debut? The few posts I have seen online were almost strictly negative. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Forgot to add "preview" on my first go around!

Did it debut? I thought just the trailer dropped.
The animation style will take some getting used to for me, but so did Clone Wars and Rebels.
I heard an actress was cast to voice Leia! I'm excited for more of her in the Star Wars story.

I kinda enjoy that they aren't just rehashing the artistic team for each series, and this latest style is pretty decent looking to me. I prefer it over The Clone Wars style myself. As a SW fan, I'm okay with whatever they can provide as character development, considering that I am still getting to know Poe Dameron for example. By Empire, we knew who Leia and Han were. But by the end of The Last Jedi, I'm still guessing Rey's motivations and feelings.

I have wondered if Mr. Filoni brought some of his Last Airbender buddies over to LFL for this.

That is something I've really enjoyed about Disney's way of spreading out the story. They haven't limited the story to one linear medium.
Take Phasma for example: She was briefly introduced in TFA and then a comic and novel were put out giving her a fleshed out backstory. I liked Phasma before but after reading the book I really like her character... and hate a little too because super bombass evil.

Caveat: I haven’t watched the trailer.

I wish Disney would spend some time fleshing out the characters of the Empire—I really enjoyed “Tarkin” for instance, but I haven’t read “Thrawn”. I find that frankly more interesting. There’s a reason I haven’t pursued membership in the Rebel Legion after all. :-)

Thanks for sharing that. It looks like they’re trying to use a manga-style of animation. I don’t mind it, but it looks to me they’re trying to break into that segment of animation fans.

Dave Filoni worked on Avatar: The Last Airbender, and he's made comments before about how he loved the animation style and wanted to bring it to Star Wars.

The style also reminds be a bit of "Titan:AE"

I'm starting to see more and more artwork from posters and stills, I'm pretty excited for this. I remember the "silent years" where the only thing besides the OT were comic books, the Droids and Ewok cartoons, and the Ewok movies. We are living in the good times now and it should be a joyous time for Star Wars fans. So many books, comics, movies and cartoons.... One day it'll go silent again, so let's celebrate all these moments!
